Sal Paolantonio: DeflateGate Hurt Tom Brady In Eyes Of Uggs-Wearing Women

Sal Paolantonio came in hot Friday with what might be the strangest take on the whole DeflateGate debacle.

Speaking on ESPN Radio’s “The Herd With Colin Cowherd,” the ESPN NFL reporter said the New England Patriots’ deflated-footballs scandal has tarnished quarterback Tom Brady’s brand in the eyes of a key demographic: women who buy UGG boots.

Wait, what?

Brady long has been a spokesman for Uggs, as folks who have seen his various billboards around the Boston area can attest. As Paolantonio explains it, far more women buy Uggs than men, and “women don’t like cheaters.”

We’re ready to declare that DeflateGate officially has jumped the shark.
