The most successful Seattle Seahawks quarterback through three quarters of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game was punter Jon Ryan.

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks’ offense struggled mightily out of the gate against the Green Bay Packers at CenturyLink Field, failing to score a point in the first half. So with his team down 16 points in the third quarter, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll busted out a trick play on a 38-yard field goal attempt.

Seattle executed the play to perfection, as kicker Steven Hauschka went through a full kicking motion while Ryan, the holder, scampered to the left with the ball.

Ryan then shot-putted the ball toward the end zone right into the hands of offensive lineman Garry Gilliam, giving us arguably the best play in football: a fat guy touchdown.
