The help Michael Del Lewis needed to score one of the most surprising goals we’ve ever seen on a soccer field was small but significant.

Del Lewis, a player on Texas’ McKinney Boyd High School soccer team, scored this sensational goal with a long-range flip throw-in and a mistake from the opposing team’s goalkeeper. The ball flew at least 40 yards before the goalkeeper palmed it into the goal. Del Lewis’ goal wouldn’t have counted if the goalkeeper hadn’t touched it, per the laws of the game.

Take a bow, Michael. That’s one extraordinary goal.
