Tuukka Rask might have a solution to the Boston Bruins’ struggles.
The Bruins suffered their third straight loss Sunday — a 2-1 shootout loss to the Carolina Hurricanes — and currently sit outside the Eastern Conference playoff picture. There’s clearly some pressure mounting, so Boston’s goaltender tried to lighten the mood a bit after the most recent defeat.
“Yeah, maybe mix in a couple of beers before the game,” Rask joked to reporters after Sunday’s loss. “Relax the nerves. That might be the last option.”
Obviously, the B’s aren’t really going to start saucing before games. Something definitely needs to change, though, as the B’s aren’t meeting expectations and could miss the playoffs for the first time since 2006-07 if they don’t right the ship soon.
