Brandon Browner Gets In Richard Sherman’s Face After Super Bowl-Clinching Play

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Emotions were running high for Brandon Browner after the New England Patriots beat his former team, the Seattle Seahawks, in Super Bowl XLIX.

Browner had to sit out last year’s Seahawks win because of an indefinite suspension for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy, so this year’s 28-24 Patriots victory was extra sweet.

The veteran cornerback made headlines during Super Bowl week by saying that his Patriots teammates should try to further injure Seahawks defensive backs — and Browner’s good friends — Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas.

They all shrugged off the comments, but after the game, it appeared there might be more to Browner and Sherman’s relationship than they were letting on.

That photo came after Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler’s Super Bowl-clinching interception. Neither Sherman nor Browner commented on the confrontation after the game.

UPDATE 10:30 a.m.: Browner clarified later on Twitter why he was in Sherman’s face after the big play.
