Although Alabama born and raised, Gerald Wallace is a New England Patriots fan through and through.

Growing up without an NFL team to root for, Wallace says he long ago settled on the Pats early in quarterback Tom Brady’s career. (He’s also a diehard David Ortiz and Boston Red Sox fan.) With New England wrapping up its fourth Super Bowl victory Sunday, Wallace congratulated head coach Bill Belichick’s squad on behalf of the Boston Celtics.

Wallace guaranteed he will be at Tuesday’s championship parade through Boston, which would be quite a feat. The Celtics are scheduled to play the New York Knicks in Manhattan on Tuesday night, and Wallace is expected to be with the team.

If the 14-year NBA veteran comes up with a mysterious ankle sprain that prevents him from traveling, let’s just say we’ll be suspicious.
