DeMarcus Cousins Hits Game-Winner Then Rants About ‘God’s Plan’ (Video)

Things are never boring when DeMarcus Cousins is involved.

The Sacramento Kings center is one of the NBA’s most, um, unique characters. On Sunday night, he found a way to make headlines both on and off the court.

Cousins played the role of hero — with a little help from a friendly rim — as he sunk the game-winning shot at the buzzer against the Phoenix Suns.

But things got really weird after the game when Cousins addressed the media. The 24-year-old reportedly is against rumors that the Kings are considering firing head coach Ty Corbin and hiring George Karl. Everything came to a head after Sunday’s game as Cousins delivered this bizarre rant.

If there was a mic to drop, he certainly would have dropped one as he walked away.

Again, Cousins is no stranger to controversy. This is the same guy who was sent home by the Kings in 2012 because of a poor attitude. Over the years, he’s been the subject of trade rumors and some of his on-court habits have raised questions, too. Coincidentally, Cousins was praised for his continued maturation earlier this season.
