INDIANAPOLIS — Expect Tom Brady and Peyton Manning to face off next season for the 17th time.

New Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak wants and expects Manning back in 2015, and he’s ready to mold his offense around the veteran All-Pro.

“Can he roll out? I think he can do anything he wants to do,” Kubiak said Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “You do what your players do best. I’ve been asked over the course of the last month, since I’ve been in Denver, about the bootleg. I had Joe (Flacco) in Baltimore last year and I think we booted maybe 25 times in the season. You do what your players do best. We’re going to run the Denver Broncos offense, and that’s a big challenge to me right now, meshing things together and getting ready to go do the things that Peyton does so well and has for many, many years.”

Kubiak said there have been no “assurances” that Manning will be back in a Broncos uniform next season, but all signs point to the QB returning for an 18th season.

“No doubt I want him to be,” Kubiak said. “I think all indications are, and everything that he’s said through his conversations with John is that he feels good. His self-assessment or however you want to label it — he feels good about moving forward.”

The New England Patriots are set to play the Broncos in Denver next season. The dates of the 2015 NFL season haven’t been set, however.
