The 2015 Beanpot wasn’t all bad for Harvard University.

The Crimson’s men’s squad was bounced by Boston University in the Beanpot semifinals last Tuesday, but the women’s team made up for it a week later by earning a 3-2 comeback win over No. 1 Boston College to win the 2015 Beanpot championship.

The Eagles, who entered Tuesday with a perfect 27-0-0 record, struck early with a goal from Andie Anastos just 1:30 into regulation and took a 2-1 advantage after a Haley Skarupa goal midway through the second period.

After that, though, it was all Harvard. Karly Heffernan and Miye D’Oench scored just over two minutes apart in the second period to help the Crimson retake the lead. The defense did the rest, as goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer stopped 12 shots in the third period to preserve Harvard’s first Beanpot championship since 2010.
