Notre Dame went into the Terriers’ den and came out with three points.
The Fighting Irish capped off an impressive weekend Saturday night with a 3-2 win over No. 3 Boston University at Agganis Arena. They fought BU to a 2-2 tie Friday night.
Notre Dame got out in front for the second time in as many games when forward Mario Lucia beat the buzzer with a goal in the last second of the first period. This time, though, the Irish kept pressing, and forward Sam Herr doubled his team’s lead with a power-play goal at the 7:26 mark of the second frame.
BU’s Mike Moran scored later in the second to make it 2-1, but Notre Dame’s Vince Hinostroza netted one just 1:45 into the third period.
The Irish will face another tough task next weekend with two home games against No. 10 Boston College, while the Terriers will set their sights on Monday’s Beanpot final against Northeastern at TD Garden.
