Nothing seemed to go right for the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night — not even when they made plays that normally would result in sure turnovers.
En route to a 104-89 win over the Mavs, Kevin Durant and Mitch McGary hooked up for an unconventional highlight for the Oklahoma City Thunder. When Durant tried to whip a pass across the court, Dallas center Tyson Chandler was there for the deflection.
Good for the Mavericks, right?
Not quite. As the ball was redirected upwards near the basket, McGary made a heads-up play to catch the errant pass for an unconventional alley-oop. Check it out below.
