When you’re one of the best teams in the NBA, it’s OK to brag. Apparently you don’t have to tell the Atlanta Hawks twice.
The Hawks’ terrific play so far this season was further validated Tuesday when sharpshooter Kyle Korver was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team to replace injured Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade.
Of course, Korver won’t be Atlanta’s only representative in Brooklyn for All-Star Weekend on Feb. 13-15. In case you didn’t know that, the Hawks decided to issue a friendly reminder.

Point guard Jeff Teague and forwards Al Horford and Paul Millsap also were selected as reserves for the Eastern Conference, making Atlanta the most well-represented team at the All-Star Game. The honor certainly is well-deserved, as the Hawks own the conference’s best record at 43-10 through Tuesday night.
DeMarre Carroll must be feeling a bit left out, though, as the only Hawks starter who didn’t earn the All-Star distinction. Atlanta’s starters earned an incredible honor last week when all five were named co-players of the month in the East after their team went 17-0 in the month of January.
