Richard Sherman trolled Darrelle Revis in the third quarter of Super Bowl XLIX. Boston Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli has since returned the favor.

The New England Patriots, of course, rallied to defeat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Sunday’s big game. Napoli, who was looking to cut loose immediately following the Patriots’ victory, continued to win Twitter on Monday by poking fun at Sherman.

Sherman took a clear shot at Revis on Sunday by making a “2-4” hand gesture to a nearby television camera after the Patriots cornerback (No. 24) surrendered a touchdown to Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin. It’s been heavily debated recently whether Sherman or Revis is the best cornerback in the NFL.

There have been plenty of Sherman memes making the rounds over the last couple of days. It’s to be expected when a player trash talks an opponent on national TV, only to then see his own championship hopes crushed a short time later at the hands of Tom Brady & Co.
