NBC show “Parks and Recreation” has been sneaking sports jokes into episodes for the past two seasons, and on Tuesday, they took a shot at DeflateGate.

The comedy’s final season takes place in 2017, so the writers did some projecting as to what the New England Patriots’ next big “scandal” might be. And it’s a doozy.

Parks and Recreation Patriots RobotGate joke

It’s a little hard to read, but the first subheading says, “Belichick on ‘RobotGate’: ‘None of our players are robots.'”

Uh oh.

If Patriots coach Bill Belichick actually was creating robot players, then tight end Rob Gronkowski is definitely the most suspicious player on the roster. He’s enormous at 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds, not to mention he’s absolutely unstoppable.

Luckily, we’re pretty sure there’s nothing in the NFL rulebook stopping teams from using robots, so the Patriots should be safe. For now.
