Malcolm Butler was at the center of what will be one of the most important plays in sports history. That’s going to take some getting used to.

The New England Patriots cornerback has become something of a celebrity since his goal-line interception sealed the Patriots’ win in Super Bowl XLIX over the Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 1.

Now he’s learning the true impact his play had on so many, as he’s recognized just about everywhere he goes. Butler told USA TODAY’s For the Win blog that he recently was recognized by TSA agents at the airport, and his newfound fame is throwing a wrinkle into his grocery shopping.

“I went to the grocery store and it was crazy,” Butler told For the Win. “I had to leave my bag and my groceries and leave out. It’s changed a lot. Especially in my hometown, everyone knows me.”

The cornerback also has enjoyed the perks of coming up big on the biggest stage. Not only did Butler receive a brand-new truck, he also got to attend the Grammys and help present an award.

“It was unreal. Not in a million years did I think I’d be at the Grammys,” Butler told the blog. “I had to pinch myself and check somebody to realize and see was I really there? I really was. I enjoyed the whole thing. The whole lot, especially the Grammys, being among all those celebrities I’ve been looking up to and enjoying their music. Jamie Foxx is still one of my favorite actors.”
