Rajon Rondo ‘Whips’ Mavericks Coach Rick Carlisle In Connect Four

Rajon Rondo’s Connect Four prowess is the stuff of legends, but apparently no one told Rick Carlisle that.

The Dallas Mavericks guard has been beaten in the game in only one known instance — by a 12-year-old — and he made sure to stick it to the kid by beating him five times after that. So it should come as no surprise that Rondo was not about to let his own coach win.

ESPN Dallas’ Tim MacMahon tweeted Wednesday that Rondo not only beat Carlisle in Connect Four, he kicked his you-know-what. For his part, Carlisle managed to zing Rondo despite the loss.

Rajon Rondo has been with the Mavs since Dec. 18, when he was traded there from the Boston Celtics. Honestly, it’s surprising that it even took this long for someone in Dallas to challenge the Connect Four champ.
