Adrian Peterson’s days in purple and gold might be nearing an end.

Peterson’s agent, Ben Dogra, had to be separated from Minnesota Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski at the NFL Scouting Combine last week in Indianapolis, numerous sources with knowledge of the situation told CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.

Dogra and Brzezinksi got into a heated exchange before Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik separated them, according to the report.

Vikings team president Mark Wilf told on Wednesday that he would “love to have” Peterson back in Minnesota. Peterson told ESPN on Thursday that he’s “still uneasy” about returning to the Vikings, however, after the team placed the All-Pro running back on the commissioner’s exempt list from September to November, when he was suspended by the NFL for the remainder of the season.
