A mysterious “weakness” observed in Jameis Winston’s throwing shoulder at the NFL combine has prompted a closer look.

Winston had an electromyography on his right shoulder, ESPN.com reported Friday, citing team and league sources. The weakness can be caused by a “nerve problem” and corrected through therapy, according to the report.

Winston, who led Florida State to victory in the 2014 BCS National Championship Game and became just the second freshman to win the Heisman Trophy when he took the award in 2013, is competing with Oregon’s Marcus Mariota for the honor of being the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NFL draft. He received some unwelcome attention last weekend, however, after an unflattering picture surfaced of his physique at a workout.
