The New England Patriots took a 14-7 second-quarter lead in Super Bowl XLIX on a 22-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tom Brady to tight end Rob Gronkowski.
The pass capped an eight-play, 80-yard drive that took just 1:45 on Sunday night.
It was the 11th Super Bowl touchdown pass of Brady’s career, tying him with childhood idol Joe Montana. It also was Gronkowski’s first career Super Bowl touchdown.
