There are single guys in the NHL, and then there are Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn.
So when the two Dallas Stars players called their moms and told them they were planning on proposing this Valentine’s Day, hilarity obviously ensued. In a video for TSN, Seguin and Benn both told their poor mothers they had each found that special lady, but they had been keeping the relationships on the down low.
While stifling all the giggles in the world, they proceeded to ask for “Nanny’s” ring in Benn’s case, and “Nana’s” ring in Seguin’s case, explaining their elaborate plan to pop the question that also involved a puppy.
After a torturous few minutes, they finally came clean and admitted they were just messing around, which led to Seguin’s best line of the video: “Why would you let me propose to someone at 23?”
