WINNIPEG, Manitoba — Jets forward Evander Kane will undergo left shoulder surgery and be out of the lineup for four to six months.

Jets coach Paul Maurice made the announcement Friday.

Kane has 22 points in 37 games this season, but he was a healthy scratch for Tuesday’s game against Vancouver.

Entering Friday’s game, the Jets held the first wild-card spot in the Western Conference, two points up on the Canucks.
