Xander Bogaerts, Hanley Ramirez Take Cuts At Red Sox Spring Training (Video)

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Three players at very different points in their respective careers joined forces Wednesday.

Xander Bogaerts, Hanley Ramirez and David Ortiz took batting practice together during the Boston Red Sox’s first official full-squad workout at the team’s spring training complex. The trio took their cuts in front of a sizable crowd gathered at Field 3 at JetBlue Park.

Bogaerts, 22, is entering his second full major league season. Ramirez, 31, is in his prime. Ortiz, 39, is the elder statesman of the bunch, though he has shown no signs of slowing down.

Ramirez ended the BP session with a bomb over the fence in left-center field.
