Darrelle Revis won his Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots. Now he’s chasing dollar signs.
The All-Pro cornerback agreed to terms with the New York Jets on Tuesday night, according to his agents, Neil Schwartz and Jonathan Feinsold.
Revis tweeted out a message to Patriots and Jets fans shortly after the news broke.

Revis will receive over $40 million guaranteed as part of his contract, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. The New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta later cited a source in reporting that Revis received a five-year, $70 million contract, with $39 million fully guaranteed. Revis will be paid $48 million in the first three years of the deal.
The Patriots signed Revis to a one-year, $12 million contract last offseason with a $20 million option for 2015. The Patriots turned down that option Tuesday, making Revis a free agent.
Revis, who will be 30 next season, began his career with the Jets in 2007, when they drafted him in the first round (14th overall).
