Bill Walton: Playing With Larry Bird Like ‘Being On A Tropical Island’

Bill Walton loves everyone and everything, but he’s got a special place in his heart for Larry Bird.

Walton has recently made a habit of posting random Vine videos to his Twitter account of him just talking. He has some sort of camera set up that watches him as he works — preparing for college basketball broadcasts, making calls, etc. — and he posts some of the best clips to Twitter.

A recent video showed a quick glimpse of Walton talking about his days with the Boston Celtics. Walton was acquired by the Celtics in 1985 at the tail end of his legendary career and was a pivotal component on one of the best Celtics teams of all time in 1985-86. That team, of course, was led by Bird, and Walton apparently treasured his time with Larry Legend.

Oddly enough, it kind of makes sense.
