Dallas Sportscaster Rips Apart Cowboys For Greg Hardy Signing (Video)

The Dallas Cowboys made the NFL’s most controversial transaction Wednesday, and one Dallas sportscaster was none too pleased.

The Cowboys announced Wednesday they signed former Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy to a one-year deal potentially worth a reported $13.1 million. However, it’s unclear how much of that money Hardy will be able to make as he faces a potential suspension for violating the NFL’s domestic conduct policy. Hardy was convicted last summer on two counts of domestic violence, but the case was dropped last month after the accuser couldn’t be found.

The accuser, Hardy’s then-girlfriend Nicole Harder, testified in July that Hardy strangled her, closed a toilet lid on her arm and threw her onto a futon with guns all over it.

So you could see why the Hardy signing might ruffle some feathers in Big D. While there were plenty of fans who sheepishly opted to go the “I don’t care what he does off the field, as long as he performs on Sunday” route, Dallas sportscaster Dale Hansen went in a different direction. The WFAA sportscaster ripped into the Cowboys for the signing with a more than 3-minute rant aimed at team ownership, head coach Jason Garrett and Cowboys fans.
