Darrelle Revis Finally Might Land ‘B.S.-Free’ Contract In NFL Free Agency

Pay no attention to the years and money reported on most NFL free-agent contracts. Most of those numbers aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on.

Value always is a tricky subject when it comes to NFL contracts, which seem like they can be cut and reworked at any team’s discretion — though seldom at the player’s. With free agency opening Tuesday, all sorts of big numbers were being thrown around, not all of them meaningful.

But Darrelle Revis has a chance to be the rare exception.

Although nobody would call Revis the New England Patriots’ most valuable player — that honor belongs to Tom Brady alone — he is the most certain member of this year’s free-agent class. As such, Revis should land the most certain contract, Matt Chatham writes at FootballbyFootball.com.
