A restaurant offered Manny Pacquiao free food for life if he beats Floyd Mayweather, which is a pretty good deal. Mayweather’s eating plans? Not a good deal.

The rather wealthy boxer is leaving no stone unturned to prepare for his May 2 bout at MGM Grand. Apparently he’s taking things to the extreme, though, telling TMZ Sports he’s hired a personal chef named Chef Q and is paying her $1,000 per plate to prepare his meals in the weeks leading up to the fight.

Not $1,000 per week. Not $1,000 per day. $1,000 per plate.

Of course, Mayweather makes inordinate amounts of money and has admitted his love for fast food, so paying a private chef to whip up some healthy, delicious meals probably isn’t the worst idea.

According to Chef Q, Mayweather’s favorite dish is “spaghetti or tacos,” but he’s focusing on eating lots of protein with few carbs, including plenty of juice. So he’s got that going for him, which is nice.

Chef Q told TMZ Sports she doesn’t usually charge that much, but Mayweather “felt my dishes were worth that much.” Besides, when someone offers you $184,000 to cook his food, you should probably take him up on that.
