Mookie Betts Razzes John Farrell, Serves As Red Sox ‘Fashion Consultant’

Mookie Betts does everything with style.

Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell revealed Monday that Betts has an unknown skill that doesn’t necessarily show up in the box score.

“Fashion consultant,” Farrell told reporters in Fort Myers, Fla., further proving Betts is a jack of all trades.

Betts is having a huge spring training. He’s hitting .444 and seemingly has the inside track on Boston’s center field job. But the 22-year-old still finds time to razz his manager, apparently, particularly when it comes to Farrell’s daily attire.

“He gets on me about how (bad) I look,” Farrell said. “He’s not afraid to call me out on that.”

What’s the issue, you ask?

“‘Skip, you need to update, man,’ ” Farrell said of Betts’ advice. “Far behind the times.”

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

Everything Betts touches turns to gold at this point, so the Red Sox might be the most fashionable team in Major League Baseball this season.
