Boston Red Sox fans all remember their first time.
They remember the first time walking down Yawkey Way and smelling the hot dogs and sausages, with vendors’ shouts filling the air and serving as the soundtrack. They remember walking through the turnstiles and into the hallowed grounds. They remember walking through the dark concourses and up the ramps to the light at the end of the tunnel.
They remember, perhaps more than anything else, the first time they laid eyes on Fenway Park and all its majesty for the first time. The sights, the sounds, the smells … it’s all so memorable.
For a lot of Red Sox fans, that first Fenway experience comes as a child. Fenway is special for any fan of any age, but it’s borderline magical for young fans.
