When you’re a kid, it doesn’t get much better than playing Little League. The Boston Red Sox Foundation is committed to making that experience even better.

Every year, the foundation helps sponsor 200 Little League teams in Massachusetts as part of “Wally’s Team.” This year, the Red Sox Foundation is hoping to give away about $50,000 to supply those teams with equipment and other needs to help young players continue to shine on the Little League diamond.

During Friday’s “Red Sox Foundation Game Night,” Red Sox co-owner Mike Egan stopped by the NESN broadcast to discuss “Wally’s Team” and talk about his own experiences playing Little League as a kid in the Boston area.
