The New England Patriots are losing another free agent to the New York Giants.

Reserve linebacker Jonathan Casillas signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract with the Giants, ESPN’s Adam Caplan reported Tuesday. Casillas was acquired by the Patriots before the 2014 trade deadline in a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Casillas played 11 games with the Patriots, including the postseason, starting three. He recorded 28 tackles and a forced fumble during his time with the Patriots.

Casillas was a core special-teamer and backup pass-coverage linebacker for the Patriots.

The Giants also reportedly signed running back Shane Vereen away from the Patriots.
