It seems trouble has found the Baltimore Ravens yet again.

Ravens running back Bernard Pierce was arrested early Wednesday morning and was charged with driving under the influence, according to police via the Baltimore Sun.

Pierce was arrested in Towson, Md., after he was pulled over for speeding. According to the report, the 23-year-old was pulled over after going 55 mph in a 30 mph zone. Pierce was given a field sobriety test which he failed. He was taken to the local precinct for booking and was later released.

“We are aware of the situation and learning more about it. We take these matters seriously,” Ravens spokesman Chad Steele told The Baltimore Sun.

Pierce just finished his third NFL season, appearing in 13 games for the Ravens. He totaled 366 yards on 93 carries with a pair of touchdowns.

Pierce is the third Ravens player arrested this offseason. Terrence Cody and Victor Hampton were both arrested and both were released by the team.

UPDATE (2:40 p.m.): The Ravens didn’t waste any time cutting ties with Pierce, announcing just hours after his arrest that they had released the running back.
