The New England Patriots might have found their Shane Vereen replacement.
With Vereen reportedly heading to the New York Giants, the Patriots are among the teams veteran Reggie Bush is considering signing with in free agency, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday. The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers also are on Bush’s wish list, according to Rapoport.
Bush was released by the Detroit Lions last month after totaling 550 yards from scrimmage in an injury-hampered year. Bush was far more productive in 2013, running for 1,006 yards on 223 carries and adding 54 receptions for 506 yards with seven total touchdowns.
