Scott Chandler definitely knows how to appeal to New England Patriots fans.
The newly-signed Patriots tight end had some high praise for his new quarterback.
“Pretty excited about that,” Chandler told Patriots.com about playing with Tom Brady. “Not very often you get to play with the best ever, so that had a big determining factor in my decision.”
Chandler, who played the last five seasons with the Buffalo Bills, knows the Patriots well from afar, and his perspective hasn’t changed much now that he’s spent some time inside the organization.
“I think it was a lot of what I expected — very warm and inviting,” Chandler said. “I feel comfortable here. Mr. (Robert) Kraft runs a top-class organization and obviously Coach (Bill) Belichick does a great job of keeping everybody around here — it was very inviting. Everybody was really nice.”
The 6-foot-7 tight end has suited up against New England nine times, catching 28 passes for 384 yards and four touchdowns.
