Daxter Miles feels good about his team’s chances to pull off the upset Thursday. He feels real good.

Miles and the rest of the University of West Virginia basketball team will look to become the latest team to knock off the undefeated University of Kentucky on Thursday night. At stake is a trip to the Elite Eight, but more importantly, the Mountaineers can make the Wildcats 36-1.

That’s exactly what Miles thinks he and his team will do.

“I give them their props,” he told reporters Wednesday, according to ESPN.com. “Salute to them getting to 36-0. But tomorrow they’re gonna be 36-1.”

Miles went all in, saying UK “don’t play hard” and should be worried about having to face West Virginia.

“They should be more intimidated,” he added, “because they’re the ones who have the high standard, and we’re coming for them.”

Now’s a good time to mention that Miles is only a freshman.

For what it’s worth, Kentucky is listed as more than a 13-point favorite. Tip-off from Cleveland is set for 9:45 p.m. ET.
