Day 1 of the Masters did not disappoint.
Texas native Jordan Spieth birdied nine holes en route to an astounding 8-under 64 at Augusta National on Thursday. Spieth tees off in one of the earlier groups of the day and hopes to continue his domination on Day 2.
Four golfers are tied for second place behind Spieth at 5-under — Charlie Hoffman, Justin Rose, Ernie Els, and Jason Day — but only one of them (Els) tees off before Spieth, meaning the 21-year-old will have to wait and watch Friday afternoon to see if his lead holds up.
