Aaron Hernandez Might Be Able To Hear Patriots Game Noise From Prison

Aaron Hernandez never again will suit up for the New England Patriots, but he won’t be far from 1 Patriot Place.

The former Patriots tight end was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday after he was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd. That conviction carries a mandatory life sentence without the chance of parole.

Hernandez’s next stop will be the Massachusetts Correctional Institution-Cedar Junction. That maximum-security prison is located in Walpole, Mass., not far from Foxboro, the home of the Patriots.

In fact, Cedar Junction is in Gillette Stadium’s neighborhood. It’s a more than a 3-mile drive, but as the crow flies, the two locations are separated by just about a mile.

That means there’s an outside chance Hernandez will be able to hear Patriots game noise from the prison yard.
