BOSTON — Adam Jones is totally cool with playing in enemy territory.
We’ll never know what kind of heckling, if any, Jones really received during this weekend’s series between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. But we know the O’s center fielder embraced the playful jabs the Fenway Faithful supposedly threw his way.
Jones alluded to some jokes referencing his mother while conducting a postgame interview Sunday. The four-time All-Star was all smiles, though, suggesting he really wasn’t offended by whatever he encountered while patrolling center field in the shadows of the Green Monster.
Don’t worry, Adam. It’s all in good-natured, intradivision fun.
