Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid and Florida Panthers defenseman Alex Petrovic dropped their gloves for an entertaining fight during the second period of Thursday night’s game at BB&T Center.

Both players landed several punches and showed tremendous stamina.

The fight was preceded by McQuaid and Panthers forward Jonathan Huberdeau getting into a scrum in front of the Boston net. Petrovic then intervened to stick up for his young teammate.

It was McQuaid’s fifth fighting major of the season and his first since Feb. 22. The Bruins rank 14th in the NHL with 28 fighting majors this campaign.
