Fool Adrian Beltre once, shame on you. Fool Adrian Beltre twice, and well, that’s apparently not even possible.

The Texas Rangers slugger got thoroughly owned by Oakland Athletics relief pitcher Evan Scribner with a devastating curveball that made Beltre fall to his knee during Thursday’s matchup. Scribner thought he could make Beltre look just as silly on the next pitch, but he could not have been more wrong.

The third baseman again took a hack while spinning like a top to his knee, only this swing resulted in a home run.

So, to recap: Don’t throw Beltre back-to-back curves. He’ll embarrass you greatly.

The Rangers added three more home runs on the day to beat the A’s 10-1.
