A’s Rookie Mark Canha Recites ‘Bull Durham’ Lines After MLB Debut (Video)

Mark Canha listened when Crash Davis spoke.

Canha is a rookie for the Oakland A’s who had an incredible major league debut Wednesday. The 26-year-old first baseman collected three hits — including a pair of doubles — and drove in four runs to help Oakland cruise to a 10-0 win.

However, Canha isn’t letting the early success go to his head — quite the opposite, actually. During his postgame media session, Canha deadpanned, as he recited part of the cliches speech from the classic baseball film “Bull Durham.”

The best part might be Canha’s subtle smile when he realizes he just had perfect execution.
