ORIGINAL STORY: Alex Burrows was at the center of a scary scene Tuesday in Calgary.

The Vancouver Canucks forward was taken to a local hospital after suffering some sort of upper-body injury. The Canucks announced shortly after Burrows was taken to the hospital that the forward will miss Game 4 of the Canucks’ Stanley Cup playoffs first-round series with the Flames.

Burrows was injured during the team’s morning skate and quickly left the ice. According to reports from Calgary, Burrows yelled for help as he exited the ice. After practice, the locker room cleared out and Burrows was received medical treatment before being taken to an ambulance.

Sven Baertschi will draw into the Canucks’ lineup for Game 4, as Vancouver looks to even the series.

Burrows was heavily involved in a wild Game 3 — including a third-period fight —  as the series between the long-time rivals has become increasingly nasty.
