Darrelle Revis Claims His Instagram Was Hacked After Response To Patriots Fans

Darrelle Revis is the latest professional athlete to claim to be a victim of a social media hacking.

Some curious comments appeared on the New York Jets cornerback’s Instagram page Saturday night. There was nothing screwy about any photos or anything like that, but a mini-feud broke out in the comments.

As anyone who’s ever spent a minute on Instagram will tell you, the comments section is a toxic place. So it should come as no surprise that jilted New England Patriots fans were trolling Revis. The surprising thing, though, is that Revis appeared to respond to these comments.

To say the least, the responses from Revis’ account were not safe for work. On a few occassions, the shutdown corner responded with expletive-laced rants.

“Wait did you physically go out there & play” one comment from Revis’ account read. “Like did you actually play one down, lol no. So your best is to shut the (expletive) up, be a spectator & watch me do something you wish you could do.”

The other comments were much more crass and can be found at Deadspin.

Shortly after Deadspin posted its story about Revis’ Instagram account, he sent this tweet in an attempt to clear things up.
