A made Blake Griffin shot might have just sunk the Los Angeles Clippers’ playoff hopes.

The Clippers trailed the San Antonio Spurs by one point with 6.9 seconds remaining in Game 5 of their NBA playoff series Tuesday night. Griffin took the inbounds pass and lofted a floater in the lane that eventually fell, but not before DeAndre Jordan give it the slightest of taps.

Jordan was called for basket interference and the points were waved off, allowing the Spurs to escape with a 111-107 win and take a 3-2 series lead heading back to San Antonio.

Rough.

It’s hard to blame Jordan for going for the tip, as the ball looked like it might miss left at one point. It’s also difficult to tell if he even touched the ball in the first place. After the game, though, Jordan came clean and didn’t mince words about his mistake.

“It was a dumb ass play,” he said, via Pro Basketball Talk.
