BOSTON — The Boston Red Sox, the Washington Nationals and everyone else at Fenway Park stood as one Wednesday afternoon.
The entire ballpark observed a moment of silence at 2:49 p.m. ET in honor of those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. The tragedy occurred two years ago Wednesday, yet remains fresh in the minds of many.
Boston Marathon survivors Jeff Bauman and Patrick Downes threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Wednesday’s game. The two drew a nice ovation from the Fenway Faithful, who certainly know what it means to be “Boston Strong.”
