It’s a known fact that Georgia residents love their college football. They also love their golf. This weekend, they decided to just combine the two.
Saturday marked the date of the University of Georgia’s annual spring football game, held “between the hedges” at Sanford Stadium in Athens. Less than 100 miles to the east, the world’s best golfers were teeing off for Round 3 of the Masters Tournament at Augusta National.
So how the Bulldogs appease their golf-deprived fans? They tossed a live Masters feed on the jumbotron, of course.

Apparently Georgia isn’t the only school to bring the links to gridiron, as Mississippi State broadcast the Masters at last year’s spring game.

That’s a pretty cool move, but Georgia might have had trouble getting fans to look away this year, as 21-year-old Jordan Spieth kept up his torrid pace with another record-setting round.
