Gisele Retires From Fashion Shows; Tom Brady’s End Hopefully Still Far (Photo)

A member of the Brady family called it quits Wednesday night.

Don’t worry, New England Patriots fans. Tom Brady still is your quarterback. Yet Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, officially announced her retirement from the runway after performing in her last fashion show in São Paulo, Brazil.

Gisele, 34, got her start in the industry 20 years ago and has gone straight to the top as the world’s highest-earning model. After Wednesday’s swan song, she took to Instagram to take a look back.

I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey. Gisele’s husband, of course, isn’t exactly a spring chicken either. Brady, who will turn 38 before the start of next season, has been notably blunt about his retirement plans, saying he won’t hang up his cleats until he “sucks.”

But Brady now is the only active member of the mega-couple, and the clock certainly is ticking. Let’s just hope another retirement announcement from the Brady clan doesn’t come any time soon.
