Hanley Ramirez might want to invest in some better fitting headgear.

Ramirez and designated hitter David Ortiz went back-to-back against the Baltimore Orioles last night en route to a 7-5 Boston Red Sox win, and the left fielder’s solo shot was so powerful that he swung out of his helmet.

But if you’ve been following the Red Sox so far this season, you’ve probably noticed that this wasn’t the first time that Ramirez’s helmet has flown off during an at-bat. In fact, it’s happened so many times that his helmet now has its own Twitter account, which has been active since Wednesday.

“Hanley’s Helmet” now let’s the world know how it’s feeling every time Ramirez steps up to the plate.

It looks as though there’s even more reason to hope for Ramirez home runs now.
