How To Legally Watch Mayweather-Pacquiao For Free On Saturday Night

Yes, you actually can watch Mayweather-Pacquiao for free.

DISH Network is offering a special promotion that allows subscribers to watch the pay-per-view fight of the century between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao for no cost Saturday night. The deal is for new subscribers, who will receive the fight at no extra charge when they sign up for DISH’s cable service. New subscribers “must mention offer code ‘BOXING’ at time of order,” according to DISH’s website.

Here’s the catch, though: New subscribers also have to agree to a two-year contract with DISH. It’s unclear if current subscribers can cancel their service in order to re-subscribe and receive the fight for free. It seems it would make sense for DISH to allow this, because all of those customers then would be on guaranteed two-year contracts, but there is no mention of this being allowed anywhere in the offer.

Still, if you weren’t planning on subscribing to DISH, this probably doesn’t make much sense.

If you want to order the fight the old-fashioned way and pony up the money, here’s how.
