Isaiah Thomas again came through with the highlight of the night for the Boston Celtics on Sunday, but in a change from the norm, he wasn’t the one putting the ball in the basket.

The Celtics’ leading scorer played the role of facilitator, slicing through four Cleveland Cavaliers defenders and finding Jonas Jerebko in the corner for an assist that would make Rajon Rondo jealous.

Mike Gorman said it best: “Thomas … woah.”

Thomas is best known for his scoring ability, but he’s been also been one of the Celtics’ better ball-distributors since arriving in Boston at the trade deadline. The point guard has recorded five or more assists in eight of his last nine games and 14 of his 19 in a Celtics uniform.

Thomas finished with 17 points and six assists Sunday — both team highs — as the Celtics crushed the shorthanded Cavs 117-78.
